Men's Korean/American Skin Care: Spring 2013 Edition
Hello new/old readers! If you haven't know me yet, let me introduce my self. I'm Kakda aka KD. I'm working on both Kworldstyle and Kfashionsm. I personally love fashion, food and sleep! -.-
My topic today is about skin care for men. Right now, it's early spring and late winter for men in Korea and the states. Let just start off with what my skin is like, so you can get an idea of how this stuff really works. I have a Combination/Acne prone skin which can be a normal thing for a teenage boy, but the problem is that my skin changes a lot throughout the year, which can mess up my current skin care routine.
In Korea looking perfect is a priority. Men get facials done by a professional dermatologist most of the time, but in America it can cost a lot $$$$ for just visiting the dermatologist. Korean men in general are very sharp and clean, by that I mean taking care of themselves is very important. As you can see, Korean idols or boybands such as SHINee, Super Junior, BEAST..etc. have such lovely/milky skin because they keep up with visiting the dermatologist very often. So here are some products that I used daily in my routine to achieve a good looking skin (in my opinion).
DISCLAIMER just because these products works on my face doesn't mean they will work on you; please keep in mind that everyone has their own kind of skin. All the products mention below are bought with my own money and are not being sponsored in any way.
Cleansing/ Exfoliating:
It's important to wash your face daily so you can get rid of bacteria or dust on your face, but you only wash your face about 1 to 2 times a day because washing your face more often can get rid of the natural oil that sits on your face which can lead to severe dry skin.
Step 1: Removing any makeup (BB cream,concealers..etc.)
I like the Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes, because it does a good job at removing any excess makeup or dirt, and it doesn't make me breakout.
Step 2: Cleanse.
It's important to make sure you also clean your face with an appropriate cleansing soap.
My current favorite is Neutrogena Acne Cream Cleanser, first of this product contain about 90% of natural ingredients, and it's great for Acne. What else could you asked for?
Step 3: Exfoliating
It's good to exfoliate your face/body once or twice a week to get rid of your the dead skin cells.
My recommendation would have to be the St.Ives' Apricot Scrub, it contains 2% Salicylic acid which is a plus for those of you that have acne prone skin. Although, keep this in mind, DO NOT EXFOLIATE EVERYDAY!
This conclude our Men's skincare routine part one, If you like this kind of post and want to see more please comment below weather you like it or not.
